I Love cosmetics
and I like to play with makeup.
I know that sounds silly as I'm over 40 years of age but it matters not
how old you are, it's how you feel that counts, and when I put on my makeup and maybe do something a little bit different,
it makes me feel good, beautiful, self-assured and ready to face the world.

Estee Lauder born in 1906
New York city and learned about beauty products from her uncle, Dr John Schotz.
In 1946 the company she formed, Estee Lauder, was launched and today it is known worldwide for producing quality beauty products & fragrances on many continents.
Starting point for Estee was a product she produced called, Youth Dew, which was a perfume but mixed with both oil. It has been reported that within the first year 50,000 bottles had been sold, and this figure is ever expanding.
Estee died in 2004 at the ripe old age of 97 and left behind an empire that will not be forgotten.
L'Oreal is a French company.
Situated in Clichy with registered office in Paris and is probably the largest cosmetics company in the world from hair care and skin products to makeup and perfume.
In the early 1900's a young french chemist developed a hair die which he called Oréale. In 1919 a company was launched to sell his beauty products this is the company we now know as L'Oreal.
L'Oréal started in hair-color but soon expanded into the full beauty range and markets over 500 different brands in hair color, permanents, body and skincare, cleansers, makeup, and fragrance.

Maybelline or Maybelline New York as we should call it, started life in Chicago USA, in 1914, it is now part of L'Oreal.
They sell cosmetics that have technologically advanced formulas and Maybelline is considered "cool" and "trendy".

Maybelline is famous for it's Cake Mascara, which claims to be the earliest modern eye cosmetic made that can be used every day.
With Mabellinne's signature red Eyebrow Pencil, eyeliners and coloured eyeshadows, they lead the trend for dramatic makeup.
